18 km from the Kremlin, on the outskirts of Moscow, in the biggest landfill in Europe, director Hanna Polak has documented the past 14 years of young Yula’s life. Film critics are calling this the documentary twin of Richard Linklater’s Boyhood. Apocalyptic, harsh life conditions, akin to a Dickens’ novel, are interwoven with epic landscapes, highlighting the humanity in the seemingly most hideous and demeaning of circumstances.

In accordance to the 2011 census, there are 2 070 371 inhabitants in Latvia, of whom 0.1%, or 2070 persons, are homeless. This statistic was obtained in counting only those homeless residing in shelters.
